It's short, VERY short. But it was a quick GCSE essay.
The colours around the funfair sprawled out, trying to escape into a rainbow. What would be loud music was now muffled under a cloud of water and deep fog. Parents and grandparents looked exasperated, wishing no more than to go home and finish watching Deal or No Deal.
Their children, who by now were screeching louder than hawks, forced them to stay put and locked into their own deathtrap. Just beyond the mist and fog, many cowering parents took refuge under the sanctuary that was the bumper car shelter as their children tugged on their thick coats, begging to be released from their strict prison grasp that held prevented them from soaring free with their friends.
Many parents looked hopefully at their watches, only to exhale audible sighs when they realise time isn't going any faster than it was 30 seconds prior. Behind the bumper cars, what usually would be a sweet and alluring scent coming from the multiple food and candy floss stands was now a foul, repulsive stench leaking from the port-a-loos.
Kids who had been begging their stricken parents for food now pleaded to go back to the safety of the ride area. It was a distressing sight. Returning to the once-exuberant funfair centre, the innocent children pushed their parents towards the bouncy castles.
The parents insisted harshly that they would be closed, but the children were relentless. Just as the parents were about to groggily follow their children's lead, a flash of lightning lit up the sky like an incredible firework. The thunder that followed sounded like RAF Typhoons doing a direct flypast; which was followed by the scream of a few young children.
Night was falling, the horizon invisible because of the thick, moist fog. Many gathered to watch a finale event; a beautiful, spectacular firework display that would leave children staring up at the sky in awe. It was not to be; the atmosphere had become solemn.
Children wailed thoughtlessly as their parents tried to drag them home. It had been a disaster. In a forgotten corner, somewhere deep amongst the fair, a man slumped to the muddy ground. His hands covered his own bloodstained face, as the multitude of different lights was replaced by a single set of bright, beautiful and beaming blue lights.
The fire that had burned from the centre of the fair diminished; lost in an unforgiving wave of water. Funnel cakes and Navajo fry bread, their sweet battery scent frying and making your mouth water, covered in cinnamon-sugar or butter and honey, is an irresistible indulgence.
Whatever your taste, you are likely to find something to your liking at the fair. There are many things to be learned from the fair.
Such a place filled with every wonder, known as the County Fair. This is a dramatic entertaining theme packed with tons of people, rich food, friendly animals, roaring rides, and tricky games that scream everyone's name as they walk by.
